It’s that time of year again–Thanksgiving, Christmas caroling, presents, and oh the food!

If you’re hosting a holiday party or, like me, have a large number of family members coming in for the holidays, preparing that holiday dinner may seem daunting.  Here’s a holiday meal hack that will save you on time and keep your sanity in check.

If you know me, I hate it when a cold blast blows through when it’s supposed to be warmer–I live in Texas for goodness sake!

On the upside, it allows me to fit in one more of my favorite winter/comfort foods–butternut squash soup. Which, in reality, I would eat at any point in the year (because it’s so freakin’ delicious!), but I recognize is more of a fall/winter dish.

There are so many ways to make butternut squash soup, but I find that using the simplest ingredients is often best.

One of my favorite salads to make is this particularly yummy goat cheese pear salad. Paired with a homemade mustard vinaigrette dressing, you’ll keep coming back for more!  It’s actually a variation of a recipe a friend sent me.  But since I always alter recipes I’m given, here’s how I prepare this relatively low-calorie dish (makes roughly 6 servings at 335 calories per serving, including the dressing):

If you’ve ever read my bio, you’ll notice that I identify as a nomad at heart.  The “nomad” is because I traveled the world as a child with my parents, and even though I’m more rooted in adulthood, the itch to travel is ingrained in my blood. Travel–and traveling often–is a part of the vision I […]

I’m a nomad at heart and traveling is in my blood. It also happens to be a way to treat yourself, get away from work and re-charge (and you shouldn’t be afraid to do so if you don’t want to burnout).  However, due to the continuing effects of the pandemic, you may not want to […]

When the lights went out in Houston during Winter Storm Uri, the last thing on my mind was how I was going to wash my hair.  It didn’t matter that it had already been over 2 weeks since my last wash day because we went through an intense move with an active toddler and were […]

If I could use one word to describe 2020, it would be: 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆. I know. Not the word you were thinking, right? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I could definitely use ALL the bad words to describe 2020 as well, but despite it all, it truly has been a year of blessing and clarity […]

Wash and gos. They’re practically the epitome of what it means to be natural—the ability to wear your hair in its natural curl pattern as it grows out of your head, amiright? So why is it so many of us have trouble perfecting the style and our wash and gos seem more like wash and no’s?

It’s giveaway month here on Girl Meets Soul.  If you’re not following me on Instagram or on my email list, you missed out on the first giveaway of $750 cash.  Make sure you are following on IG @thegmslifestyle and subscribe to my newsletter, Lifestyle Insights, for exclusive content that’s not on the blog as well […]

Hello There.

I’m Priscilla

I help working moms - especially moms in Big Law, corporate moms, and moms of color - go from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to building careers and businesses that fit their life, so that they can win at work and thrive in motherhood.

Do you find yourself thinking: How do I be the mom I want to be and have the career I want to have? I want to do my job well and be a good mom ...  but I feel like I'm failing at both. This is unsustainable - how much longer can I keep going like this? I want to leave this job, but I've worked so hard and so long to get here ... I don't even know what else I could do?

You're not alone.

Whether you're looking to change your job or industry, land a promotion, or start a new business, or just seeking to balance your career with your role as a mom, I come alongside you with the tools and guidance to help you reach your goals.
